There are so many sources out on the web making recommendations (...make that, claims) about how to generate gazillions of traffic to your website. Some work really well, and others are pure hype or outdated and/or rehashed techniques leftover from what worked previously online but that the web has simply "outgrown."
One place I spend a lot of my time now is the Warrior Forum. This is probably THE most talked about authority forum in the world of Internet Marketing. Anyway, I have learned a lot of valuable information just reading the posts over there alone. Many of the senior members over there are truly "heavy hitters" in the IM world.
One resource I discovered there is the Rhodes Brothers, aka "IM (internet marketing) Simple". These guys are highly experienced, and they have created dozens of highly acclaimed resources that teach you how to generate LOTS of traffic. The beautiful part is these guys are cheap - i.e., they hate spending money on traffic! That basically means that most of their reports teach you legitimate ways of generating large volumes of traffic on a NO or LOW budget, something I personally appreciate a lot.
So far, my favorite IMSimple resource (I've only looked at 3 so far...) is their ebook on traffic generation called "Traffic Generation Secrets." The great thing about this ebook is that it's straight to the point. So many ebooks out there cram a bunch of useless background or fluff that we all frankly just skim right through until we find information that is "actionable". This one is a short 31 pages (plus 2 bonuses that go into more detail) but what they teach you WORKS, and you don't have to invest HOURS of reading to find that out, or to start putting the concepts to work for you. Check it out and then post a comment back here to let me know how you liked it.
Also, If you liked my previous post on RSS traffic, you may like this IMSimple ebook called "RSS Superglue". Again, a very high quality report with lots of useful information.
